Daily Routines

Our centre operates from 7am - 6pm; Monday to Friday. Each of the rooms have their own routine but operate similar throughout the day.

In our 0 – 2 room we will ensure we follow your child’s individualised routine as closely as possible

  • 7am

    Doors open – Indoor child led free play family grouping in 2 – 3 room – Breakfast available until 8am

  • 7:30am

    Indoor free play continued in each room – Child led experiences commence

  • 8:30am

    Group time offered – Morning tea time – return to free play and programmed experiences

  • 9:30-10:30am

    Indoor/Outdoor play offered – Spontaneous and programmed experiences

  • 10:30am

    Return to indoor play – Intentional teaching, Art and Craft, small and individual group child led programmed experiences

  • 11:15am

    Group time offered – Lunch is served – Transition children for sleep in a cot or on a stretcher bed

  • 11:45am

    Rest and relaxation – Free play in the room for the children who do not sleep at this time

    As children wake, they transition to indoor quiet activities free play and programmed experiences

  • 2:15pm

    Group time offered – Afternoon tea time – return to free play and child led experiences

  • 3- 5pm

    Indoor/Outdoor play offered – Programmed and Child led experiences

    Late snack offered about 4:45pm

  • 5pm

    Return to indoor play time – Free play

  • 5:30pm

    Return to 2 – 3 room for family grouping and child led free play

  • 6pm

    Home time

  • 7am

    Welcoming group time offered – group discussions held

    Indoor/Outdoor play offered – Spontaneous and child led programmed experiences

  • 10:30am

    Return to indoor play – Group time – Intentional teaching, Art and Craft, small and individual group child led programmed experiences

  • 11:15am

    Group time offered – Lunch children are encouraged to serve themselves with the assistance of an educator – Transition children who sleep onto a stretcher bed

  • 11:45am

    Rest and relaxation – Quiet activities – Small and individual group child led programmed experiences in the room for the children who do not sleep at this time

    As children wake, they transition to indoor quiet activities child led free

  • 2pm

    Afternoon tea time – Music and movement group time offered and return to child led programmed experiences

  • 3- 5pm

    Indoor/Outdoor play offered – Child led and programmed experiences

    Late snack offered about 4:45pm

  • 5pm

    Return to indoor play time – Free play

  • 5:30pm

    All rooms join in our room for family grouping and free play

  • 6pm

    Home time

    Indoor/Outdoor play offered – Child led spontaneous and programmed experiences

  • 10:30am

    Return to indoor play –Two smaller group times -> Intentional teaching group time and School readiness group time

    Intentional teaching, Art and Craft, small and individual group child led programmed experiences

  • 11:30am

    Group time offered – Lunch time children encouraged to continue to develop their self help skills serving themselves – Transition children who sleep or would like a bed to relax will be offered a stretcher bed

  • 12pm

    Rest, relaxation and quiet activities to commence – Small and individual group child led programmed experiences in the room

    As children who slept or had a rest wake, they transition to indoor quiet activities

  • 1:45pm

    Two smaller group times children swap groups -> Intentional teaching group time and School readiness group time

    Afternoon tea time – Music and movement group time offered and return to programmed experiences

  • 3- 5pm

    Indoor/Outdoor play offered – Child led and programmed experiences

    Late snack offered about 4:45pm

  • 5pm

    Return to indoor play time – Free play

  • 5:30pm

    All rooms join in Joey room for family grouping and child led free play

  • 6pm

    Home time
